Technician (m/f/d) Electronics Development and Measurements for Space Projects

activities:

  • Development, construction and testing of electronic circuits and measurement setups
  • Independent performance and evaluation of measurements on electronic components
  • Performing irradiation tests on EEE components with ionising radiation sources (e.g. cobalt-60, protons, heavy ions)
  • Preparation of accredited test and measurement reports for national and international customers
  • Support in the layout and manufacture of circuit boards and documentation
  • Supporting projects from the initial concept to the final measurement report – you will be involved in the entire development and testing process

  • You will not only work in the laboratory, but also develop complete solutions – from the circuit idea to the final measurement evaluation.
  • You will regularly travel to leading radiation facilities in Europe (including PSI Switzerland, CERN Geneva, Belgium, Holland, Germany) and continuously expand your expertise in the radiation resistance of electronics.
  • You will work in an interdisciplinary team that combines electronics knowledge, enthusiasm for technology and practical implementation.
  • You will test electronics used in satellites and other demanding applications.

qualifications:

  • Electrical engineering training (HTL electronics/electrical engineering/mechatronics or similar)
  • Practical experience in electronics development, circuit technology and measurement technology
  • Good knowledge and skills in production design
  • Independent, structured and meticulous approach to work
  • Ability to work in a team and commitment
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Category B driving licence and willingness to undertake frequent international business trips

annual fee:

The actual classification in the Technical Services career model, career level Technician, is based on the respective qualifications and experience. The annual salary for full-time employment is at least EUR 45,528.00 gross in accordance with the research collective agreement.
