We are seeking a driven and hands-on In Vivo Scientist (full-time) to join our client’s R&D team and contribute to the advancement of its non-viral delivery platform. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Plan and execute in vivo studies, contributing to study design and interpretation
• Perform hands-on animal work, including dosing, monitoring, and sample collection
• Conduct and interpret ex vivo analyses (e.g. qPCR, ddPCR) to support study outcomes
• Contribute to the development and optimization of analytical workflows and experimental approaches
• Actively contribute to experimental planning and not just execution of studies
• Perform comparative evaluation of different delivery platform variants as part of ongoing technology development
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, animal facility staff, and external CRO partners
• Present results and contribute to in vivo study approaches and scientific understanding
• A curious, entrepreneurial, and adaptable personality, comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• MSc, PhD, or DVM in Life Sciences or a related field
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in in vivo research, including study planning and execution; prior experience in liver-related work is a strong advantage
• Experience with molecular and ex vivo analysis methods (e.g. qPCR, ddPCR)
• Strong understanding of preclinical physiology and pharmacology
• Experience with viral and/or non-viral delivery, RNA therapeutics, gene editing, or related technology development is highly desirable, ideally combined with experience in nano drug delivery systems
• Proven ability to take ownership of experiments—not only by executing but also by understanding and designing them
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and solution-oriented mindset

The yearly salary for this position starts at EUR 40,347.58 gross based on full-time employment (40 hours per week). Depending on relevant experience and qualifications, there is a willingness to overpay.
