Ref2502: Postdoc position in neuroscience

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Join a dynamic, interdisciplinary team investigating the neural circuits underlying social and emotional behaviors in mouse models.
  • Integrate cutting-edge molecular and circuit-level approaches to understand how specific neuronal populations contribute to complex behaviors and neurological disorders.
  • Conduct mouse surgeries, including stereotaxic injections of viral vectors and optogenetic/chemogenetic implantations.
  • Utilize viral tracing methods (anterograde and/or retrograde) and tissue clearing techniques (e.g., iDISCO, CLARITY).
  • Perform light-sheet/confocal microscopy of large volumes.
  • Analyze high-dimensional imaging datasets.

Ihre Qualifikationen

  • PhD in neuroscience, neurobiology, or a related field (or PhD defense date scheduled soon).
  • Proven experience in mouse surgeries and viral tracing methods.
  • Knowledge of tissue clearing techniques and high-dimensional imaging data analysis.
  • A strong publication record in relevant areas is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Motivation to develop novel protocols and push technical boundaries in circuit neuroscience.
