As a Site Services & Collaboration Specialist, you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of technology, business, and the modern workplace. You will help shape and continuously improve our digital workplace environment, enabling employees across multiple locations to work efficiently, seamlessly, and collaboratively. 

In this role, you will combine your technical expertise with a strong service-oriented mindset, while staying curious about emerging technologies such as Microsoft 365, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will contribute to creating modern, connected, and future-ready ways of working. 

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Managing local IT and workplace requirements across assigned sites, including the coordination of service requests, escalations, and support-related topics.  

  • Translating local Business, R&D, and OT requirements into clear and actionable requirements for global IT teams and external service providers, while supporting the implementation of appropriate solutions 

  • Supporting the global workplace, collaboration, AI and user-adoption agenda by responding to central-team requests and activating new ways of working in our workforce. 

  • Bridging business requirements and the use of M365 solutions such as Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, Viva, Forms, Places, and Power Platform to enhance collaboration and productivity.  

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, AI-powered productivity, and low-code solutions, particularly using Power Apps and Power Automate and provide input for governance of citizen development. 

  • Promoting the responsible use of Copilot and AI by identifying suitable use cases, supporting user adoption, and applying defined governance and adoption guidelines.  

  • Collecting and analyzing user feedback and service data, and translating insights into improvement initiatives to optimize the user experience, collaboration, and adoption of new digital ways of working.

  • The salary for this position is competitive and aligned with market standards. Given that the role can be based in various countries within Europe, specific salary details will be discussed during the interview process with the recruiter. 

You bring: 

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical training in IT, Business Informatics, Digital Workplace, Engineering, or a related field.  

  • Initial practical experience in IT support, Site IT, remote support, ITSM, or working with external service providers; knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL is an advantage.  

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, SharePoint, Copilot, and modern collaboration and workplace solutions.  

  • Initial experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Forms, or a strong willingness and ability to quickly learn and adopt these technologies.  

  • Excellent communication and service-oriented skills, combined with empathy for users and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way, as well as translate business requirements into suitable IT solutions.  

  • An analytical and solution-oriented approach, an interest in AI and automation, and a passion for working with international, interdisciplinary, and multicultural teams. Good English skills and knowledge of the local language are an advantage.

Schimmelpilzgifte im Tierfutter aufspüren und unschädlich machen: An dieser Aufgabe arbeiten viele der Beschäftigten, die für DSM Austria GmbH am Erber Campus in Getzersdorf bei Traismauer und im Forschungszentrum in Tulln tätig sind. Hinter dem Unternehmen stehen zwei in der Branche bekannte Marken, Biomin und Romer Labs. Beide gehören heute zur weltweit tätigen Gruppe dsm-firmenich.

Den Kern bildet Biomin. Das Unternehmen entwickelt Zusätze für Tierfutter, die Mykotoxine binden und die Darmgesundheit von Nutztieren stabilisieren. Dazu kommen phytogene und probiotische Produkte, also Futterzusätze auf Pflanzen- und Mikroorganismenbasis. Die zweite Marke, Romer Labs, prüft Futter- und Lebensmittel auf Verunreinigungen und betreibt akkreditierte Labore in Österreich, Großbritannien, den USA und Singapur.

Die Geschichte beginnt 1983. Damals gründeten Erich und Margarete Erber Biomin im niederösterreichischen Pottenbrunn. Aus dem Betrieb wurde die Erber Group, einer der weltweit führenden Anbieter im Mykotoxin-Risikomanagement. 2020 übernahm der niederländische Konzern DSM die Gruppe für rund 980 Millionen Euro; seit der Fusion mit Firmenich firmiert dieser als dsm-firmenich. Die österreichische Gesellschaft mit Sitz in Getzersdorf bündelt seither die Beteiligungen rund um Biomin.

Geforscht wird vor allem in Tulln. Im Biomin Research Center arbeiten rund 80 Forscherinnen und Forscher an angewandter Grundlagenforschung, unterstützt von einem Netzwerk aus etwa 150 akademischen Einrichtungen weltweit. Entsprechend breit fallen die Tätigkeitsfelder aus. Im Labor stehen Mikrobiologinnen und Veterinärmediziner, in der Produktion entstehen die Futterzusätze, dazu kommen kaufmännische und technische Aufgaben von der IT bis zur Patentverwaltung.

Zur Größenordnung: Beim Verkauf an DSM beschäftigte die Erber Group weltweit rund 1.200 Menschen und setzte in den zwölf Monaten bis März 2020 etwa 330 Millionen Euro um (DSM, 2020). Wie viele davon heute in Österreich arbeiten, weist das Unternehmen öffentlich nicht gesondert aus. Den Rückhalt liefert eine global aufgestellte Gruppe mit Standorten auf mehreren Kontinenten.
