Regional Marketing Manager CRM (m/f/d)

The position

The Regional Marketing Manager RCV is responsible for supporting the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives for Jardiance (EMPA) across the RCV region within the Cardio Renal Metabolic (CRM) Therapeutic Area. Working closely with cross-functional and cross-country teams, the role contributes to maximizing brand performance through strong customer and market understanding, effective execution of regional initiatives, and alignment of priorities across countries. The position also collaborates closely with the asset team to ensure alignment of strategic priorities and market development opportunities.

This role offers a unique opportunity for a high-potential individual to further develop strategic marketing capabilities, broaden cross-functional leadership skills, and gain exposure to regional business management within a complex international environment

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Drive market insights, customer understanding, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and support business growth across the RCV region
  • Lead and execute regional marketing projects and customer-focused initiatives, including digital and omnichannel activities
  • Partner with country teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure launch readiness and successful implementation of commercial strategies
  • Monitor business performance, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend actions to optimize results
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across markets to drive alignment and leverage best practices.

Requirements

  • Several years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, commercial excellence, or related commercial functions
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of healthcare market dynamics, including experience in patient activation or disease awareness initiatives
  • Experience working across multiple markets, ideally within the CEE and/or RCV region
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and cultures in a matrix organization
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    In Wien-Meidling wird an neuen Krebsmedikamenten geforscht und werden biopharmazeutische Wirkstoffe hergestellt – von der Grundlagenforschung bis zur fertigen Ampulle an einem Ort. Von hier aus steuert die Boehringer Ingelheim RCV GmbH & Co KG das Geschäft in über 30 Ländern Mittel- und Osteuropas, Zentralasiens und Israels. Der Standort geht auf das Jahr 1948 zurück. Es war der erste Auslandsstandort des Familienunternehmens überhaupt.

    Das Regional Center Vienna ist für den Konzern der einzige Standort, der die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette abdeckt: von der Grundlagenforschung über die angewandte Forschung und die biopharmazeutische Produktion bis zur Geschäftsverantwortung für Human- und Tiermedizin in der Region. Das schlägt sich in den Berufsbildern nieder. Im Labor arbeiten Molekularbiologinnen und Chemiker an Wirkstoffen gegen Krebs, in der Reinraum-Produktion überwachen Biotechnologen die Fermentation lebender Zellkulturen, und in den Fachabteilungen betreuen Kolleginnen aus Zulassung, klinischer Forschung, Marketing und Vertrieb die Märkte in über 30 Ländern. Ein Teil der biopharmazeutischen Produktion entsteht auch im Auftrag anderer Hersteller. 2021 gingen zwei neue Produktionsanlagen in Betrieb und schufen rund 800 zusätzliche Arbeitsplätze.

    Rund 3.250 Menschen arbeiten am österreichischen Standort, in der gesamten von Wien aus betreuten Region sind es über 4.680 (PHARMIG, 2024). Boehringer Ingelheim zählt zu den zwanzig größten Pharmaunternehmen der Welt und ist bis heute in Familienbesitz. Das erklärt den langen Atem in der Forschung, in die am Standort Jahr für Jahr ein dreistelliger Millionenbetrag fließt. Für Bewerberinnen und Bewerber heißt das: internationale Aufgaben, wissenschaftliche Tiefe und ein Arbeitgeber, der seit mehr als 75 Jahren in Wien verwurzelt ist. Rund 90 Prozent der Produktion gehen in den Export.
